Pokémon “Maskerade im Zwielicht” - So organisierst du deine Sammlung

The latest Pokémon TCG set, Scarlet & Violet - Twilight Masquerade , was released on May 24, 2024. This marks Pokémon's second TCG set to be released in 2024.

What awaits you in Scarlet & Violet Twilight Masquerade?

Twilight Masquerade is the sixth Pokémon Trading Card Game expansion in the Crimson & Purple series. Known in English as Twilight Masquerade , this set focuses on the legendary masked Pokémon Ogrepon . You will also be immersed in the idyllic Kitakami Province, where people and Pokémon live in harmony with nature.

Here are some of the exciting new features and highlights that await you:

  • Meet new Pokémon from Kitakami Province
  • Twilight Masquerade contains a total of 226 Pokémon cards, including 59 Secret Rares
  • New are over 160 trading cards, including more than 10 powerful Pokémon-ex, over 30 useful trainer cards and numerous rare Pokémon cards with unique illustrations

The main character: Ogerpon

Ogrepon is a legendary grass-type Pokémon with the ability to wear different masks. Each mask gives it additional abilities and new types. In Twilight Masquerade, Ogrepon is represented with four different masks.

Each Ogrepon Mask trading card is available in different rarities: Double Rare, Ultra Rare, and Special Illustration Rare. Turquoise Mask Ogrepon is also available in Rare and Hyper Rare.

Now to organize your collection

Twilight Masquerade includes a total of 226 new Pokémon trading cards. If you also take the reverse holo cards into account, the set contains an astonishing 373 different trading cards. This is a real challenge for any collector, especially if the goal is to complete a master set. A 9-pocket portfolio is no longer sufficient for this, as it can only hold 360 cards. A 12-pocket portfolio, on the other hand, offers space for a total of 480 trading cards and allows the reverse holo cards to be placed alongside their standard versions.

If you are not the trading card folder type and are only interested in individual (rare) trading cards, the Treasurehive is your choice. It is specifically designed to store up to 90 Magnetic Card Cases . Alternatively, this elegant card box can also hold over 370+ toploaders , 990 cards (double-sleeved) and a variety of Ultimate Guard deck boxes. Therefore perfect for collectors as well as TCG players.

In any case, you need enough penny sleeves for your collection. Immediately after you have drawn a card, you should protect it with a penny sleeve. Dirt, dust or fingerprints can affect the condition of your trading cards and reduce their value. The Ultimate Guard Classic Sleeves are ideal for this and offer impressive value for money.

Magnetic Card Cases are recommended for optimal protection of particularly valuable cards. These robust cases have recessed corners and integrated UV protection, which ensures a particularly high level of protection. However, due to the tight fit of the Magnetic Card Cases, trading cards in standard sleeves do not fit into these cases. Perfect Fit Sleeves (Inner Sleeves) should be used for this. Perfect Fit Sleeves with a seal (sealable) are best, as they provide additional protection for the trading card.

Conclusion

Masquerade in the Twilight is not the only new thing this year. Because, look forward to the next highlight: Scarlet & Violet - Shrouded Fable will be released on August 2nd, 2024.
