The new expansion Mega Evolution – Pitch Black Night has been officially announced. The set will be released worldwide on 07/17/2026 and has been added to the July 2026 section.

Featured cards include Mega Darkrai-ex and Mega Zeraora-ex. Additionally, new information regarding card rarities, the digital release in Pokémon TCG Live, and official Prerelease tournaments has been published.

Pokémon Trading Card Game: Mega Evolution – Rising Chaos will be released worldwide on May 22, 2026.

In this expansion, things get turbulent in Lumiose City after dark: Mega Floette ex causes chaos, while powerful Pokémon like Mega Greninja ex, Mega Pyroar ex, and Mega Dragalge ex stand their ground.

Highlights include 5 Mega Evolution Pokémon ex as well as numerous rare and ultra-rare cards.

Our Assessment: Rising Chaos looks like one of the most creative and colorful Pokémon TCG sets of 2026. The combination of Lumiose City, Mega Floette ex, and other unusual Mega Pokémon provides a fresh style within the Mega Evolution cycle. Compared to Pitch Black Night, this set focuses less on a dark atmosphere and more on chaos, colors, and eye-catching artwork. Collectors, in particular, could find great value in the Illustration Rares and alternate card designs. The set should also be exciting for players, as several new Mega Pokémon may enable interesting deck strategies.
